Working for a company or for her business, maintaining a home, raising children to hopefully be good adults/citizens in society one day, nurturing positive relationships and making time to check-in on her people, scheduling appointments while driving to pick up a child who is getting sent home (again) due to a sniffle, wiping up an unidentified spill, applying a new brand of mascara so another coworker doesn’t ask why she looks so exhausted, trying to focus on one thing at a time when there are a million things buzzing around her mind related to all facets of keeping the “train” on the track, turning around to find another spill (ok, no more walking away from the table!), investing in marriage in the emotional and physical sense, waking up and turning off the alarm to only wake up again later inevitably late, making multiple calls to nail down one seemingly simple task, calling to confirm the bill was correct, preparing bottles for childcare and mislabeling them accidentally, spilling breastmilk that she had been working to pump all day, doing laundry and realizing someone left gum and tissues in a pocket, thinking about what tasks she has at work and that new “very-reactive-very-urgent-priority” from a boss who doesn’t understand time management or people, realizing she forgot to get groceries, maybe finding time for herself, it goes on.

Your days are being held together by spider webs sometimes it seems. You rush from event to event, everyone seems to want or need you for various things, and it feels like you can’t breathe. Your hopes and dreams might be pushing further to the back? Do you actually know what your current self has for hopes and dreams? Your work has demands, your home has demands, and you naturally have demands for yourself if you are a high performer. But somewhere the balance got out of whack. You want to do it all and be it all. You know that stopping and throwing up your hands or not accomplishing the mission is not an option. How could you possibly wake up early if you stayed up late getting the kids’ stuff ready for tomorrow for childcare or prepping to nail a presentation? Am I enough? Am I doing enough? What are my values? Is what I am doing aligning with my values? Is this my forever? Maybe you have had a panic attack…or 2…or many more. Maybe you have been so crippled by the anxiety of something that you were paralyzed. Maybe you have taken medication in the past to help manage and cope. Maybe you need time and space to explore your WHY and identify where you want to go, how you want your life to look, and how you’d like to get there.
